Ilkley Moor Garden

The concept of the design for this garden is inspired by the surrounding views of the exposed Ilkley Moor. Expansive views and links out of the garden, ground the site within its surroundings. By creating a protective area within the garden space using vernacular materials, it creates a sheltered and private space to enjoy as a sanctuary. As the garden gets closer to the boundary of this area and beyond, it becomes more naturalistic and closer to the look-and-feel of the surrounding landscape.
