The Process

Initial Consultation

At this stage we will get to know you as best as we can. We will ask you key questions about your project, aspirations and brief. We will then conduct a site visit to get the best understanding possible of the site. If a measured survey of the landscape is required, we will commission one on your behalf at this stage.

Concept and Developed Design

Here is where we create the overall masterplan, design and detail of the scheme. We will work with you and any other consultants (e.g architects) to create a design that fits your brief best. We allow for different iterations to ensure there is always an element of collaboration. We also provide indicative costs to build the design, to ensure that the design is within budget and help with any required planning submission.

Technical Design and Tender

At the Technical/Tender stage this is where we will create detailed, accurate construction drawings in CAD to create a package of work that can be priced and built by a landscape contractor. We will work with the client to tender and appoint a suitable contractor to complete the build of the design. We will also design planting plans and organise all of the procurement of the plants to ensure high-quality and easy implementation.

Construction

Whilst the project is under construction, we will work alongside the client and appointed contractor to ensure that the garden is built to the highest-quality and fulfils the original designed vision and brief. We will work on site to set-out key details and all planting to ensure the most horticulturally accurate and beautiful scheme. We will also manage the contract between the client and contractor to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Aftercare and Beyond

We strongly believe that a garden is never finished and will always evolve over time. We can work with clients to produce a maintenance plan to help understand how to care for the garden, and can help to appoint a gardener if required. We often complete return visits over the years on many of our designs to help the vision of the design evolve and grow over time.
